We produce it from fermented plant starch, but we’ve added a heat-stabilizing process that allows it to cover hot bento boxes or steaming food trays without shriveling up. I’ve personally tested this film against our standard PE rolls, and while the feel is slightly more “crisp,” the cling strength is remarkably reliable. We don’t use the confusing mix of materials you see in some “hybrid” films; we focus on a clean, food-grade PLA that meets strict international composting standards.
